About The Project
A 1950s classic mid century, updated but obscured in the 1970s, ready for a massive renovation. The classic 50s utilization of river rock and flagstone, both inside and out were revived with hand hewn mahogany floors and alder cabinets. A second story with a guest wing and bath were added. Extensive landscaping of the large lot and surrounding hillsides with revitalization of old growth California oak trees. The addition of ferns, handmade steps and pathways enhanced the feeling of calmness and tranquility, a country dwelling in the forest.
